Disaster Strikes

Well not total disaster, a bit of one. We'd just got to Rollingstone and turned off the highway to get fuel when the steering went really stiff and a smell of burning rubber. We stopped and I had a look and found the fan belt had come off and was a bit chewed up. Too hard for me to fix so I called out RACQ and we got towed back to Townsville. Now waiting for it to be repaired. So don't know where we'll be tonight. I'll edit this later to let you know.
Update: We got the car back at 4pm, so we are stopping another night in Townsville with a lighter wallet after today. It appears that the idler pulley bearing failed causing the fan belt problem. So new idler pulley and fan belt.
